Heritage act

As of 1 July 2016 a new Heritage Act came into force. In the Heritage Act six Dutch cultural laws and one regulation are combined. The most important aim of the Heritage Act is to stop the fragmentation of Dutch cultural heritage legislation and to promote a comprehensive protection regime for cultural heritage, with shared definitions, procedures, and protection measures for immovable, movable and intangible cultural heritage.
